Anita, Brenda and Cheryl are sisters who, along with our brothers, David & Eric, spent our earlier years in the Rumford/Mexico area of Maine. In those early years, we watched, amazed, as our Mom made clothes, quilts, etc. out of flour sacks and any other scraps on hand. Later, our Nana spent many hours with us teaching us how to make quilts for ourselves and our children. It was from her that we learned the basics of quilt making. While we have expanded our quilting abilities to include newer methods and equipment, we are still very greatful to Nana for the love of the art that she instilled in us. We sometimes chuckle, however, as we try to imagine Nana working with a rotary cutter and mat!
Our quilts are machine stitched and are tied rather than quilted. Our favorites include the Fan, Single Irish Chain, Log Cabin, Dresden Plate, Simply Squares and, of course, Nana's Crazy Patchwork. It is our goal to keep our quilts simple enough that we can offer them at an affordable price.
Now that we are grandmothers ourselves, we very much enjoy creating quilts and other gifts for our children and grandchildren.
We have also expanded our creativity to include fabric dolls, fabric jewelry, potholders, rag wreaths, placemats, napkins, table runners, kitchen towels, catch-alls and tablecovers.
Our husbands, Bob, Wayne & Harold get involved too. Bob contribute woodcrafts and Harold is very good at doing the machine embroidery.
Life styles are ever changing and we've all purchased RV and plan to do some traveling! We've changed our phones to mostly cell phones and will be experts on where to find wireless hotspots and internet cafes!
We make quilts in all sizes from minis to king size bed quilts. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for contact us with color and size preferences.
Our fabric dolls and their clothing are completely handcrafted by us. We are Maine Made - America's Best! We are committed to creating quality, affordable products in the Maine tradition, no matter where our travels take us.
